Special Discount Cards

Please Note: Beginning September 1, 2019, all Health First Colorado Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) services will be provided through, IntelliRide, the new transportation broker for Health First Colorado.

Veyo will continue to schedule and conduct NEMT trips through August 31, 2019. Trips and standing orders that were scheduled with Veyo for September 1, 2019 and beyond will be transferred to IntelliRide.

If you are looking to receive reimbursement for a trip that occurs on or after September 1, 2019, please call 1-855-489-4999.

Special RTD discount fares are available for members that qualify for Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) and/or Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT). The Special Discount Card (SDC) offered by RTD provides a 50% fare reduction for people that qualify on all regular RTD bus and rail services. The SDC is not valid on Access-a-Ride.

 

Eligibility for Special Discount Cards

You may be eligible for a Special Discount Card and Non-Medical Transportation tickets if you are currently enrolled in a Colorado Medicaid program that is eligible for Non-Medical Transportation services, including:

  • Developmental Disabilities Waiver
  • Supported Living Services Waiver
  • Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver
  • Community Mental Health Supports Waiver
  • Brain Injury Waiver
  • Spinal Cord Injury Waiver

Upon verification of your eligibility, Veyo will send you a Special Discount Card. Once you have your Special Discount Card, you will be able to request discount Local or Regional tickets from Veyo until your benefits have been exhausted. At that time, you will be able to continue using your Special Discount Card to purchase additional tickets at the discounted rate.

 

How to Use Your Special Discount Card

If you are riding with a discounted pass or ticket, you must present proof of eligibility every time you ride. Proof can include one the following documents:

  • RTD issued Special Discount Card with a valid photo
  • Medicare card: White, Red and Blue card – Medicaid card will not be accepted
  • Valid government issued photo ID card with verification of your age
    • Photocopies, faxes and emails are not accepted

 

How to Apply for a Special Discount Card

Log into your PEAKPro app and click on the ‘More’ button. If you are eligible, you will see ‘RTD Discount’ on the drop-down menu. Click on that option then follow the prompts to ‘Apply for RTD Discount Card’.

If you do not have access to the PEAKPro app, please call Veyo directly at 855.351.0583 for assistance.

 

Requesting and Receiving Discount Bus Passes

Once you have received your Special Discount Card, call Veyo at 855.351.0583 or submit your ticket request through the Online Submission form below to request tickets for the Non-Medical Transportation program. Veyo will verify your eligibility and mailing address then mail you the discounted tickets. Please call at least 5-7 days before your trip.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Card Replacement

Veyo will replace one lost or stolen Special Discount Card per certification year at no charge.  If additional replacements are needed within the certification year, go to one of the RTD locations at the times listed below. RTD will replace a lost or stolen card at a charge of $5 with a maximum of five cards in one year.

 

Damaged cards will be replaced at no charge; however, the damaged card must be presented at the time of being reissued. Damaged cards can be replaced at one of the RTD locations listed below at the times listed.

 

RTD locations and hours:

1660 Blake Street, Denver
Monday-Thursday, 9am-Noon and 1pm-4pm MST
Friday, 9am-Noon and 1pm-3pm MST
1400 Walnut Street, Boulder
Monday only, Noon-2pm MST

RTD locations are closed on the following days: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
